How to install ?

Warning: Firmware flashing has its dangers and can result in data loss or even bricking a device if done incorrectly. Read it carefully, however, and back up anything you don’t want to lose access to!

Prerequisites:

Download Firmware: Download the official Redmi Note 9S firmware and ensure it is compatible with your device model.

Install Drivers: You will also need to install MediaTek USB VCOM drivers on your PC, so SP Flash Tool will be able to communicate with your device.

Charge Your Phone: Ensure that your device has enough battery to keep the flashing going without interruption. (at least 50%).

Backup: Store your device data beforehand, flashing firmware can erase it. Before proceeding, ensure that your important files are backed up.

How to Flash Firmware with SP Flash Tool:

Step 1: Download and extract SP Flash Tool.

Downloading Latest Version of SP Flash Tool

Unzip the downloaded ZIP file, and put it somewhere on your computer.

Install VCOM Drivers:

Open the SP Flash Tool folder and open the Driver sub-folder.

Run the “Install. execute the bat” file to install MediaTek USB VCOM drivers.

Run SP Flash Tool:

Find and execute the flash_tool. exe” file inside the SP Flash Tool folder.

Load Scatter File:

Click on the “Scatter-loading” button in the SP Flash Tool.

Locate the firmware folder and choose the scatter file (this file is usually called “MTxxxx_android_scatter. txt”).

Configure Flash Options:

The left side will show a list of the partitions once the scatter file is loaded. All partitions are selected by default.

You can check/uncheck the partitions you want to flash. Recommended: Leave them all checked for a full firmware flash

Ensure you are on the option to “Download Only”.

### Disable phone, connect, and flash

Turn off your Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S.

With the Volume Down button held down, connect your phone to the computer with a USB cable.

The SP Flash Tool will identify the device and initiate the flashing process. A progress bar will appear.

Flashing Complete:

When the flash has completed successfully you will see a green checkmark.

Now you can unplug your device and turn it on The first boot may take a little longer than it normally would.
