How to install ?
Prerequisites:
Download Required Files:
Head to the OnePlus website and download the firmware appropriate for your OnePlus model.
Some examples are [MsmDownloadTool] Please be aware that the tool you are accessing is community-developed and may not be officially provided by OnePlus.
Install OnePlus USB Drivers:
Make sure you have the required USB drivers on your computer. You can typically obtain these drivers via the OnePlus website or the community forums.
Steps:
Extract Firmware Files:
Then, extract the downloaded firmware to a folder on your PC.
Install MsmDownloadTool:
Download and install the MsmDownloadTool on your device.
Boot into EDL Mode:
Turn off your OnePlus X.
Press and hold the Volume Up button, then using a USB cable, connect the device to your computer.
Your device should now be in Emergency Download (EDL) mode.
Open MsmDownloadTool:
Open the MsmDownloadTool in your PC
Load Firmware:
In MsmDownloadTool click on “Target” and select the previously extracted firmware files. Files will be automatically loaded using the tool.
Start Flashing:
Most of the tutorials will have an additional step of clicking on Start or Download to start the flashing process. This will begin flashing the firmware through the OnePlus X Early Tool.
Wait for Completion:
Now, be patient until the flashing process finishes. During this process do not disconnect your device.
Finish:
After the full process the tool should show a success message. You can now unplug your device.
Important Notes:
First, before continuing, make sure to back up important data on your device because flashing firmware may result in data loss.
Make sure you download the right firmware for your particular device model.
Flashing firmware is risky, as improper handling can either void your warranty or render your data unusable.
