PREREQUISITES:
Make Sure Your Devices Are Charged:
  • To begin with, ensure that the battery of your Vivo S1 Pro is adequately charged before you can start flashing the firmware. It is strongly advised that your device has a full battery to ensure no part of the process is interrupted. A low battery can prompt a device to shut down at any moment, which can be problematic and may even lead to the phone being rendered unusable or bricked.
Download Firmware:
  • download the specific firmware for your Vivo S1 Pro from the official Vivo site or any trusted and verified source. Using an improper firmware version can cause serious software failures that make your machine unusable or slow.
Install USB Drivers:
  • Install USB drivers to create a proper connection between your Vivo S1 Pro and the computer. You can also download these drivers from the official Vivo support page. Installing the appropriate drivers guarantees a smooth interaction between your device and the flashing tool.
Install the Flashing Utility:
  • Tools need: Download and install a compatible flashing tool for your Vivo device. Vivo Flash Tool is a widely used Flashing tool for Vivo Devices. Using older versions of the tool can also cause compatibility issues when flashing your device, so it is recommended to download the latest version.
Extract the Firmware File:
  • After downloading the firmware file extract the compressed file (which in the most common case will be. zip or. rar format). Once you extract the file, you get a folder with all the necessary firmware files including the scatter file that the flashing tool needs to perform the process.
STEPS TO FLASH FIRMWARE:
Launch the Flash Tool:
  • Go to Vivo Flash Tool on PC. Make sure that the software isn’t crashing, and is installed correctly. Only those who use it frequently will come across problems, which can be rectified by opening the device in the latest version of MATLAB.
Load the Firmware File:
  • Now in Flash Tool, Make a selection of the flash file. Go to the extracted firmware folder, and choose the scatter file. This file holds the partition information needed for flashing.
Connect Your Device:
  • Switch off your Vivo S1 Pro entirely.

The firmware update mode will then launch when you connect your device to the computer through a USB line and hold down specific hardware buttons (such as Power + Volume Down or Volume Up depending upon the device model).
This allows Flash Tool to detect and connect with your device.

Begin the Flashing Process:
  • After that, the Flash Tool will detect your device, and you will be able to start the flashing process by pressing the “Download” or “Start” button. It may start the firmware installation with a progress bar showing its status.
Timeout to allow the process to complete
  • At this point, it may take minutes for the flash to complete. During this time it is important not to disconnect the device or turn off the computer, as doing so could corrupt the installation and make the device unusable.
Finalizing the Process:
  • A success message will be shown on the Flash Tool UI once the flashing process has been completed. You can then unplug your device from the computer. Step 1: Start your Vivo S1 Pro and let it boot up. Note that the first boot after flashing a system image may take a while, so be patient.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Ensure that you also always follow the instructions given by together the Vivo officials or the flashing tool in which you are available so any sort of risk errors are minimized.
  • You should be using this firmware version only for your device model. Flashing the wrong firmware version could lead to instability, slow performance, or bricking your device.
  • Flashing will wipe your all data on the phone. However, it is highly recommended to back up all important files, contacts, and applications before proceeding.
  • Plugging your device to power during the entire process will help you minimize the risk of shutdowns while the process is ongoing which might result in half-installs or worse system crashes.
