How to install ?
Note: Flashing firmware can be risky and might lead to data loss or even bricking your device if not done correctly. Make sure to follow the steps carefully and back up your important data before proceeding.
Prerequisites:
- Ensure your device has sufficient battery life (at least 50%).
- Download the necessary tools and firmware:
- SP Flash Tool: Download and install from the official website.
- Xiaomi Redmi 10A stock firmware: Obtain the appropriate firmware for your device model.
Flashing Process:
Install USB Drivers:
- Install the required MediaTek USB VCOM drivers on your computer to facilitate communication between your device and SP Flash Tool.
Download and Extract Firmware:
- Download the correct stock firmware for your Xiaomi Redmi 10A model from a reliable source.
- Extract the downloaded firmware package to a location on your computer.
Launch SP Flash Tool:
- Run the SP Flash Tool application with administrative privileges.
Load Scatter File:
- Click on the “Choose” or “Scatter-loading” button in SP Flash Tool.
- Locate and select the scatter file (usually named
MTxxxx_Android_scatter.txt
) in the extracted firmware folder. The scatter file provides information about the firmware partition structure.
Configure Flashing Options:
- After loading the scatter file, the partitions to be flashed will appear. Ensure the necessary partitions (such as system, recovery) are selected.
- Choose the appropriate flashing mode. “Download Only” or “Firmware Upgrade” mode is recommended for a complete firmware installation. Use “Format All + Download” only if you’re facing severe issues with your device.
Connect Your Device:
- Power off your Xiaomi Redmi 10A.
- Click the “Download” button in SP Flash Tool.
- Connect your device to the computer via USB while holding the Volume Down button or a combination that triggers the device to enter Download or Flashing mode.
Flashing Process:
- SP Flash Tool will start flashing the selected partitions. A progress bar will show the flashing progress.
- Once the flashing is completed, you’ll see a green “Download OK” message.
Finish and Reboot:
- Disconnect your device from the computer.
- Power on your device. The initial boot might take longer as the system is being configured.
