Caution: Updating firmware can be a dangerous operation, and if done incorrectly, all data can be lost or your device permanently bricked. Be sure the follow the steps closely, and back up your important data before you do so, though.
Important Notes:
You can backup your data before, but this process will erase all data on your device.
So make sure your device has enough battery or keep your device connected to a charger during the entire process. (at least 50%).
Make sure to download the correct firmware for your device from a trustworthy source.
Now open control panel and uninstall the old version of SP Flash Tool.
This guide assumes that you are somewhat familiar with the process of SP Flash Tool usage and device firmware flashing process. If you have no confidence, please consult a professional.
Here are steps to flash Xiaomi Redmi 5 firmware using SP Flash Tool:
Add USB Drivers: Download and set up the required USB drivers on your computer for Xiaomi Redmi 5. These drivers can be downloaded either from the Xiaomi One website or third-party driver options.
Download Firmware:- Download official firmware for your Xiaomi Redmi 5 from a reliable source. Ensure that it is the proper firmware version for your respective device model.
SP Flash Tool Installation: Download the latest version of the SP Flash Tool from its official website.
Unzip the FilesThe downloaded firmware and SP Flash Tool files should be extracted to separate folders on your computer.
Fire up SP Flash Tool: Run SP Flash Tool executable file (say, “flash_tool. exe”).
