How to install ?
Note: Flashing firmware can be risky and might lead to data loss or even bricking your device if not done correctly. Make sure to follow the steps carefully and back up your important data before proceeding.
Before You Begin:
- Backup: Ensure you have a backup of your important data as the process will erase all data on your device.
- Charge: Charge your device to at least 50% to avoid any interruptions during the flashing process.
- Drivers: Install the MediaTek USB VCOM drivers on your computer. These are required for SP Flash Tool to recognize your device. You can usually find these drivers on the official website of your device manufacturer.
Flashing Process:
Download Firmware: Obtain the correct firmware for your Xiaomi Redmi 7A. Make sure it’s the appropriate firmware version for your device model. You can often find these firmware files on the official Xiaomi website or other trusted sources.
Download SP Flash Tool: Download the latest version of the SP Flash Tool from its official website.
Extract Files: Extract the contents of both the downloaded firmware and SP Flash Tool archives to separate folders on your computer.
Run SP Flash Tool:
- Locate the “flash_tool.exe” executable in the SP Flash Tool folder and run it as an administrator.
Load Scatter File:
- In SP Flash Tool, click on the “Scatter-loading” button.
- Navigate to the firmware folder and select the scatter file. This file is named something like “MTxxxx_Android_scatter.txt” (where “xxxx” represents the specific chipset of your device).
- The scatter file will load, and it will display the partitions that will be flashed.
Configure Flash Options:
- Configure the flashing options according to your needs. These options include what to flash (preloader, system, recovery, etc.).
- Make sure not to select the “Format All + Download” option unless you intend to erase all user data.
Connect Device in Download Mode:
- Power off your Redmi 7A.
- Press and hold the Volume Down button and then connect your device to the computer via USB cable. The device should be recognized, and the flashing process will begin.
Start Flashing:
- Click on the “Download” button in SP Flash Tool to start the flashing process. The tool will begin transferring the firmware files to your device.
Flashing Complete:
- Once the flashing process is complete, you’ll see a green circle with a checkmark.
- You can then disconnect your device and power it on. The first boot might take longer than usual.
Remember that these instructions are based on general steps for flashing MTK-based devices. The exact steps might vary slightly based on the specific firmware and version of SP Flash Tool you’re using. So we can’t take responsibility for these instructions. Always refer to the official documentation and resources for your device and tools.
